Actually, one reason we don’t use dog dung is worms. Farmers keep their animals treated for all manner of parasites and diseases while “pet” owners often don’t. Rabies fears also contribute. The “acid” can be tempered by proper composting with lime.

Sheep manure is good too, I’ve heard.

But on a HOT day? Not so much!
