Every time I see Schroeder’s baseball suit, I think of the time Lucy put it on and started to tweet like a bird. Oh, the good times Peanuts has given us.
I’m just glad we didn’t have to deal with drug testing for players back during this time. Think how awkward it would be for Snoopy to have to submit to a drug test.
Look at it this way, Charlie Brown: If you had fed him, he likely would have been too busy eating when the ball came his way! You made the right call… :-)
I think you have to use your glove to catch a batted ball; you can’t use your cap, so you probably can’t use your water dish. see below MLB rule 2.00 A CATCH is the act of a fielder in getting secure possession in his hand or glove of a ball in flight and firmly holding it; providing he does not use his cap, protector, pocket or any other part of his uniform in getting possession. It is not a catch, however, if simultaneously or immediately following his contact with the ball, he collides with a player, or with a wall, or if he falls down, and as a result of such collision or falling, drops the ball. It is not a catch if a fielder touches a fly ball which then hits a member of the offensive team or an umpire and then is caught by another defensive player. If the fielder has made the catch and drops the ball while in the act of making a throw following the catch, the ball shall be adjudged to have been caught. Is water dish part of uniform? Hmmm… oh, that Snoopy!

Sounds good to me – as Peppermint Patty remarked once, he’s the only athlete on your side!

I like Snoopy’s version of “so there” or “you were saying” tactics.

Incidentally, how could Snoopy go “Ahem” with a supper dish in his mouth?

This strip could have its own tv special called “I’m a better player than you, Charlie Brown.”

Star players often require “special” treatment.

Me and Number Six are not related. But he’s like a surrogate brother to me. Mostly we’re very good friends.

CB should keep a packet of dog biscuits in his pocket, then he wouldn’t have to open up a can of dog food. : )
