I have been remiss on my story og the “Goat Mountain Fire”. up in Montana in 1960. I am having trouble with what to write, and what I might not want to. Brmthe second day, I was pretty much running things things, because I had more experience that anyone ele onn the mountain, evev the fore boss.. >>>>>> But a couple of days ago I found jy journal from 1975.the whole season, july 11 to September 30. pretty well documented, a daily (almost) of what went on. I haven’t read it yet, so it will bring back stuff that I hope may interest,] most of you. of course aot of it is pretty undane.>>>>>>I will finish the “the Gost Mpuntain” story, promise..

I’m making a big batch of French Toast this morning with the bread I made yesterday. So, come on by and set a spell. I make pretty good coffee, too!

Our first Bambi Babies showed up yesterday. One of our deer stopped at the water pan, and she had 2 babies! They look like they might have been only a few days old, wobbly and all. :)))

Yeah, I remember 1967. That was the year I got my first driver’s license.

1867 Another busy year. As I remember it, it began on Shirttail (after wintering in San berbardino Mts. in SoCal. From there to Grangeville in Idaho, south of Lewiston where there was a big wildfire.. (That is another fire story, too) Then over to Montana via the Lewis and Clark Hiway Finally wound up back in the San Bernardino Mts working with a mason. Actually stayed there for a couple of years..

I remember 1967 also…….we already had two kids, and I became a Tupperware Manager with the free station wagon.

And, our favorite movie that year was “Wait Until Dark” with Audry Hepburn and Alan Arkin. What a terrific movie!!!!

Ok folks, my reference to ‘67 was Canada’s centennial..The Montreal World’s Fair, Man and His World.I went in ’67 on a high school field trip, what a day..ttfn

All those “1967” comments make me feel old.. “First driver’s license”? “High school field trip”? Etc? I’m so old. :-)
