I’m amazed at how easily some of you can dismiss some artists’ efforts. Does it occur to you that your words may hurt? Probably not. So, why don’t you critics try your hands at writing comics? I’d love to read how crappy your efforts would be. Seriously, this generation of critics bring NOTHING to the table, so to speak. So, go bless yourselves and try to make something out of the nothing that is your pitiful excuse for a life.
By the way, good luck Juba and try to ignore the ignorant
I’m sure it’s for someone, but not me. I’ll probably revisit it a couple more times to see if it changes but my expectations are low, DESPITE it being popular in a different culture.
Usually I wouldn’t comment on this issue, just move along, except the fact that the whole issue of “play nicely” disguised as politeness has been brought up. My issue with it is that it plays on a very stale theme, men are pigs. I’m waiting for something to grab me to make me interested in the characters, because a good comic should have both the ability to draw AND to write. It’s why I think good comic artists are some of the most talented people out there. Can I do it? No! I don’t kid myself about it because I know I can’t draw for crap despite my best efforts. But if I am doing something I claim to be good at, I welcome the negative criticism because I know I must be doing something wrong if a lot of people react similarly. I don’t FEEL good about it, but maybe it’s the cold splash of water I need to try a little bit harder or better.
i like it. i predict that it is moving up my Que fast.it is funny in English/American as it is in Finnish.living with a selfish person is understandable in any languige/culture…
I’m going to give this a shot. I already have a mix of new runs and reruns on my roster. My very last one is an amateur effort one that doesn’t quite hit the mark. In part, this is due to the way she phrases or punctuates, which hurts the flow. But it is an interesting reference points to stronger strips, like Pearls or Luann.

I guess those that don’t like today’s strip didn’t live with a family of 5 in a 1 bathroom house and a brother who liked to read in the bathroom…
For myself, I usually give a new strip about a week to see if it peaks (peeks? piques?) my interest.
(sorry about the homonym overload.)
