I was never a Sun reader and at the time of Wilson, wasn’t particularly into politics. I like the idea of Alf Garnett as Minister of Race Relations.
.In a way Alf and his missus reminded me of Andy and Flo and I remember my father used to like the expression, “silly old moo”. I don’t think the concept behind the programme translated properly when remade in the US..I certainly don’t remember the Andy Capp animations.
Thanks, as always to Sandfan and Eldo for some great Andy classics.BTW, am I the only one whose had trouble getting on to GoComics this morning ? This is the first time today, I’ve been able to get on the site.

Gladly, and good riddance, even if it’s only a weekend. A senniight or fortnight would be sheer heaven for Flo…>

Flo you need to hide your money and go for your own vacation, let Andy fend for himself. Oh that’s right this strip is based on Andy.

Andy hasn’t always been that successful…
And he and Chalkie had to work out a few problems…
But he’s always willing to acknowledge a good performance…

In snooker, a “Fifty Break”, is scoring fifty points on your first turn at the table.

I can see Flo jumping for joy.
SHE would make sure Andy’s case was packed. She would say to him ‘Have a lovely time, Pet’ and then mutter under her breath ’Don’t hurry back’
LOL xxx

Glad you enjoyed it, Gweedo.
I can’t whistle at all. Never have been able to.
I laughed at your ‘snooker room’ comment the other day. You probably like today’s Andy Capp then.
Can you play snooker?
