Well, considering that the closest Michael can get to âEl Toroâ is probably to âborrowâ Scooter and tie plastic horns on himâŠI can just picture Scooter âŠhis face buried under his front paws, hoping he can slink home before anybody sees him.
BevâŠ.Michael is dead serious. I donât think he has a clue that anyone would think his âsuit of lightâ looked âwhimsical.âHarrumph! For Whimsical Wednesday he may wear the pinstripe suit he once thought made him look like a banker, before he ended up working 27 years at the Ballard Five and Ten Cent and Hundred Dollar Store.
He knows now that banking was just a whim, and that he carries inside himself the heart of a matador.
Tuesday is not Michaelâs best dayâŠ..too close to Monday, too far from Friday and old habits are hard to break. Shirley has apparently forgotten that Tuesday is free form rehearsal day in anticipation of weird Wednesday, rock n roll Thursday, and far out Friday; which will be celebrated this Friday with sparkling water and bakery cookies, treats for Rusty Boy and a secret surprise for Shirley, which will start out with some questions and end with some tickling.
Michael has combined the styles of Thai temple dancers, Spanish bullfighters and the gold chains and unbuttoned shirts of the 1970âs disco scene to create his own unique style, which he calls "the 21st century Beau Ballard "
When I first noticed Michael in his costume, I thought he was going to a lodge meeting for The Loyal Order of Bullthrowers. But then, I saw this whack job playing matador with a Ford Taurus in the middle of Ballard Street. At bullfights, they award the toreador the horns and tail. If Michael isnât careful, heâll wind up with the horn and grill you-know-where.
Surely Shirley can ease off on Michaelâs taking a little personal time to celebrate the âRunning of the Chihuahuasâ⊠a time honored tradition since loose bulls were banned on Ballard Street back in â78. Fortunately for him the only festive costume he could find was available at Stelâs WOI⊠40% off with coupon (saved from Sinko Day Mayo Daze)Pepito is already helping set the âmood-ohââŠ.. oleââŠ!!!!
I donât know if the virtual tour shows the elevator,
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>No, but it does show a picture of my half-sister Connie,( in the portrait across from the fire place), which was painted in the days when she was having a highland fling, with some noble of indeterminate sex. How did it get into your dream house ?
I spent the afternoon in the pool, forgetting it was 101° today. I think, as Linguist might possible say, it âtook the wind out of my sails!â See you all tomorrow!
âMichaelâ hardly seems like a name for one of the Ballard Street citizens. Are you sure it isnât Clifford, Lorry, Heathcliff, Ruben, Walter or Percy?
