2warped757 – As you can glean from the discription to the right of the comic, LDL once had a home and he was loved and being looked for for some time. Unfortunately LDL must have initially moved quickly and got out of range. One of the best/saddest strips was when LDL spent a cold night in a cemetary cradled in the lap of The Madonna. Beautifully drawn and hauntingly poignent. If there was an oscar for comics, that one would surely have been nominated.
Steve, another home run! Great art, and you leave so much for the reader to interpret… wow! LDL, after your “bay,” if you could have just waited for a second for the wind to blow the trees!!! That might be your home!!
@Quaby: So true! I will never forget that Sunday strip. Haunting and so sad. This one has a hint of the cemetary “oscar winner”, but just a bit lighter.

That breaks my heart. Poor Little Dog. I hope he finds a home someday. I would take him in (and Tortie too!)

I am a late-comer to LDL – are there books like there are ot other comics? Did he have a home in the beginning? How did he come to be lost?
