I’m not aware of anyone catapulting stones near the old lighthouse, although there have been reports of of dogs AND cats catapulting each other! Future Sheriff Monkeyblues has been notified and I’m sure he’ll investigate!
As we mature our identities become more fixed, focused and directed….Until those Golden Years, when all hell breaks loose and we can’t remember minute to minute who we are, who we wanted to be and who cares. Stew is headed for James Dean on the weekends, Frankie, Ronald Reagan and “where’s the beef lady” throughout the week. Shirley is certainly pleased, they have been eating out a lot.
…But now the days grow shortIm in the autumn of the yearAnd now I think of my life as vintage winefrom fine old kegsfrom the brim to the dregsAnd it poured sweet and clearIt was a very good yearwhen I was 17.my favorite Sinatra song.

Please tell me that Luciano and Miss E. are not involved in this…this….( oh, I was so not going to use this word, but I can’t help it! )…this….CATASTROPHE!!
That 15 Megaton Cat-apullt is indeed a WMD, and now they’re making Dog Pies, as well!! We have to do something to bring peace back to Ballard St. This is unacceptable! We’ll never attract new residents if we look like a war zone! And, we’ll never get you elected! Any ideas?
(Well done, FSMB! Especially, love the 15 Megaton Cat! LOL)

Well, I know I am new here and am no expert on these things but the way I see it (sitting above everyone in my very on lighthouse…so cool!) If you want to make this place less Beirut and more Mayberry, you have to go back and see that this has been coming on for some time now. Note just a few:

July 1, 2005Sept 2, 2005 (methinks one of the leaders)Nov. 22, 2007Dec. 25, 2009And let us not forget the man who causes nightmares and bed wetting in adults as well as children….BOB January 5, 2012.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These are just a handful. There are more. Oh yes. Lot’s more. This place is a ticking time bomb of Dummies, Nincompoops, and Doody Heads just waiting for the order to advance!
(I was scrolling down to your comment, and stopped…read it and noted the dog wagging his tail. I thought, “wherever does he get these great, animated pictures?” THEN, I scrolled a little further and saw the dog’s tail HITTING THE CAT!!!!!!!!!
All I can say now is: “will you get me a new laptop when you get your keyboard??”)
Sinatra was a rotten human being with ties to the mob but he could sing.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Only thanks to the brilliant arrangements by Nelson Riddle and a couple of others, who managed to mask his inability to hit the notes – particularly if he was hitting the sauce. The orchestra was extremely adept and paid extremely well to put up with the invective heaped upon them by ole blue eyes.Long story short. In my lifetime I have been around numerous “stars” , actors, and entertainers, in one capacity or another. Frank Sinatra heads my list as one of the nastiest, most arrogant, buggers I have ever had to deal with. He made Yul Brynner look like a pussycat.
Not really, my father met many. I did ‘meet’ both Helen Hayes and Lucille Ball but as I was less then a year old I didn’t really meet them. I do have the picture of Helen Hayes meeting with my mother in the hospital (My mother had polio) where I ‘met’ both these people.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I love history and hearing about people’s lives is interesting. Most of the people I want to meet are dead. To be honest, the people I have met over the Internet are all famous to me. And in some ways more of a friend then the ones we see face to face. I make a comment here and suddenly I am a neighbor. Albeit crazy mixed up neighbors but that suits me! Thanks for sharing.
“Stel have no worries, both Miss E and Luciano are above that sort of behaivior. I feel that if Mr Luciano and Miss E were to enter this mess it would result in a cataclismic disaster.”++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++BTW, I hear thru the grapevine that Luciano is thinking of moving her permanently. Comment?
but I still insist the man could sing. Maybe he didn’t have as great a range as others (The velvet fog comes to mind) but there are songs he sings very well.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>You’re absolutely correct. My opinion is based on his later years rather than his early career. He was also a capable actor. Man With the Golden Arm comes to mind.For singers who aged gracefully and kept their “pipes”, you can’t beat Mel Torme or Tony Bennet ( two of my favorites ). Ray Charles and Joe Williams were also pretty durable.I envy your heritage. Even as a teenager, although I had pretty catholic ( small c ) taste in music – everything from Broadway shows to Rock – my major love has been jazz . I grew up listening to my folk’s 78’s of Dorsey, Goodman, Ellington et al.
OK shouldn’t the recording be of Sinatra talking, not someone talking to him?
Stew Stacey is so tired of his dog, Frankie, getting all the attention. Stew can do Sinatra just as well as Frankie…if not better!
Stew bills himself as Sinatra lite. Frank done without the cigarette, whiskey, and nasty attitude.Plus, Stew can actually carry a tune.
Indeed a classic song, as only ol’ Blue Eyes could do it! No competition from Stew OR Frankie the dog! Great link!
