Actually I’ve heard it reasoned that the number was Nero’s and he was not all that great as an emperor.

I’d be much more worried about The Beast, Monty, if I set any store in that random pattern of flies on your table (you know, as yesterday—pareidolia?)….

The earliest version of the New Testament has the Mark of the Beast being 616. And it’s “Revelation”, Monty!!!

So Monty manages to take on both religion and politics in one swell foop! But he’s right – 999 is scarier.

999 is 911 in Britain. Could be a British ghost …

Another one as clueless as Monty had to be a Democrat.

Or someone drew 666 on the table in hamburger drippings and is waiting to see Monty freak out. Had a friend do that many years ago at a small fundamentalist run school his family sent him to. He did it on the wall behind the chapel podium before church. Too bad there was no easy way to take video back then :) what a Youtube that would have made.He caused a minor riot.

We Christians will be in heaven before the antichrist comes to power.

There are times I would very much like the so-called “Rapture” to be real. It would rid the world of so many annoying people.

What’s Obama’s economic plan again?

If the Rapture occurs before the Antichrist shows up, then Christ’s “like a thief in the night” comment is wrong. (Of course, the word Rapture doesn’t occur in the [KJV] Bible anyway.)
