So Flask is dead, after all. ;^; Flask probably died the minute the gun exploded in her face. I wonder what Marx’s intentions are, here. I assume that he is keeping her ‘alive’ here in a sort of ‘purgatory’. So…is it that once his spell ends, she dies? Or is she going to phase into one of the other realities?

The crossroads where all realities meet. Definitely an interesting concept. I kinda like that idea. Sorry about Flask, Just wondering what sort of being Marx is.

Flask looks a little bloated in the second panel. Still I think Aaron is kind of fond of Flask. Why else would he be so concerned about her. He must see something special behind all of that anger and arrogance.

Obviously she doesn’t remember some things. Then how did she “presume” that the ship was gone and HE should be dead. She looks good for a corpse. Sound normal. Reacts as she normally would. No questions yet about the others. I think we can plan on at least a couple of weeks of presentation by our Aaron, just placing the time and place and the reality of this conversation. Then AM comments on her face. With the smashing that Wally did the first reaction would be for her to reach to her face to check the damage. After she is female.I shall just enjoy being confused with the rest of us. Blessed Be

This whole thing is still a bit too Dues Ex Machina for my tastes. I was enjoying the whole ethical dilemma between Flask and Wally… and I’m still not convinced Flask was wrong.

Some of the dialog seems to be in heiroglyphics, or some alien language. I notice there’s a repeating pattern, so it could be the same word structure on each occasion. Hmmm… if only we could decipher it. It may have some kind of religious or societal signficance… This Mister Neathery is dashed fiendish.

Marx fixed her face easily enough. Now our Flask is knee and wrist deep in “the stuff dreams are made of”. I believe our Blackie will finally get the life review we have all been waiting for. And since this is the “crossroads where all realities meet”, she will have an opportunity for redemption and a continued life. Whether she takes it or not, only Aaron Neathery knows.

“Is it a miracle plastic facial reconstruction or is it dittos? Only her hairdresser knows for sure.”—————————-Hey, Bernie, I hear you’re thinking of breaking up the act.

I suggest we start up a special section in the Endtown Underground for fan art of what Flask’s face really looks like!

He’s gonna have a tough time convincing this one. I’m quite sure she still considers him some sort of cheap huckster.;-)

petey doesnt remember flask………………………he rescued that transporter brain.

do you think AM would take flask brain and swap it with the one petey rescued ?(so flask may end up in a robotic body too and taken care by petey even if he wont know its flask)

Flask has always been the type to be self-reliant. Never depend on anybody for anything. Think of the horror she will feel when she realizes, not just that she’s dead, but that she’s dependent on someone else, even to hold her face and body together.

Aaron’s becoming something of a Deus Ex Machina power if you ask me… but I’m getting more confused and intrigued by the strip though.

I was hoping for more of Flask’s backstory. Those backwards treks have also served to flesh out the world that is Endtown. On the upcoming journey (if there is indeed one) we make get some more definition of who/what Marx is. Where was he during the catastophe? He must be one of the few immune to the mutagenic disease, too.

“For me I’m puzzled, how can parallel lines meet?”Don’t think of reality as being on a flat surface. Topographical mapping from one surface type to another can easily account for this phenomenon. In topography, a coffee cup is equivalent to a donut. Maybe infinite realities are mathematically equivalent to a cuisinart.———————————I don’t like it at all, Bernie.

I have to hand it to all of the commenters here today. I can count on one hand the number of times Marx has used god-like powers. At least you’re not letting the discussion of such get out of hand. Maybe he’ll hand the reins of the story over to Flask now.—————————-That is so much of an oven-mitt, Bernie.

When AM talks about holding her together and then being where all the realities meet, I think he’s somehow preventing her from fissioning into different versions in the alternate realities of the multiverse. In all the different branches, there’s only one Blackie Flask. The question is, just what is the purpose for this?

Rocket, rocket, rocket. I still think that AM will give Flask an opportunity to stop the rocket. She’s apparently already dead, so it wouldn’t make much difference to her personally, but it would help out Endtown. Should be interesting this week…

I think it’s a question of terminology. Parallel Worlds would be more accurately named as Alternate Histories. They are only parallel in that they are next door to each other. But in reality, any alteration in historical events would result in a Ripple Effect, where the two Alternate Universes would get further and further apart, and resemble each other less and less.
