I suppose fruit flies wouldn’t fair to well, either. But I certainly wouldn’t be wasting valuable time in lines if I only lived 3 days!

Heck, at our post office that could happen to a parrot or a tortoise.

If this were a podcast it would just be a segue into a Stamps.com ad

Lots of jokes like this in “Kevin & Kell.” For example: http://www.kevinandkell.com/2001/kk0814.html

No more than 2 days later? Get real. It takes a week to go across town!

Hear, hear! 45 cents to take an item from a box on my front porch, schlep it across the country, and in two days’ time put it in a box in my parents’ front yard is an incredible bargain. And I’ve found that their rates for shipping easily trump the competition. Yeah, the lines at the post office are generally awful, but how often do you really need to actually go into the post office?

I hate all the angst over saving the post office. Congress should let them raise rates to 75 cents, or go to 3 days a week delivery. Instead, we get two-penny increases and a crises every three years.
