having london have the olympics was poor planning. london is a different city than the last held olympics in 1948. plus, english summers are not really summers, but more like spring/fall weather of rain and cool temps. so, no bikinis for women’s beach volleyball. plus, security will make london a police state. in addition, doesn’t british food suck?
Heh! I read his comments. Good stuff, piss off the Brits while visiting them. Nevermind, he won’t be president of the US so for once I actually enjoyed a retort from Cameron. :)I’m away in Austria at the moment, far away from London during the worst of it but I shall return bang in the middle of it all. Worse, the rowing competitions are being held in a neighbouring village which uses the same roundabout that I usually do. And my usual commute into West London has had one of its lanes swiped for the Olympics. We’re calling these special lanes ‘Zil lanes’. Oh joy. Fortunately, I’ll be working from home during most of the Olympics.
suggested “I say move’m back to Greece.”In full agreement. A permanent venue would be more affordable for everyone and would benefit the Greeks’ ailing economy.
