*Talk about a Missouri compromise.*Every time I see someone with a tattoo of a Chinese character I wonder if it’s a swear word.

Fred must have done something to P.O. the sign maker, like not pay him, to deserve that message.

Although living in Illinois, great uncle served in Civil War in a Northern regiment in Missouri. Spent most of time in prison at Alton until his case was reviewed and received a pardon.1. Convicted on one man’s word against another.2. Sentence meted was far in excess of what it should have been even if guilty.(Was assigned to guarding a supply tent, with men coming and going with supplies, and he got the blame when a shortage was discovered)By the time of pardon, war was over.Did eventually receive a pension, but didn’t attract any 14-year old girls!

No. The facts indicate it is more like “We need your help with our national debt. Can we borrow 772 billion dollars? We will also sell you our most advanced technology."

Fred Bennett need not worry! People often do the opposite of what they are told, anyway!

I worked for a Mercury dealer back in ’64 and the Caliente was one of our best sellers. The 289 engine with the four speed could blow off the Chev Novas with the 283, plus the handling was much better

Kentucky and Maryland also furnished troops to both sides in the Civil War.
