Just change your principles, Maria. As in, your new principle should be “No dessert left behind!” Love the bulging cheek in the last panel! I always found that swallowing “gross” veggies when I was a kid helped if I chewed them quickly without letting them touch my tongue, and then a quick swig of milk washed them down before I could taste them. That and hiding them in my napkin… :-)

Oddly enough, I liked lima beans as a kid- even got all happy when we having them- then after growing up wanted nothing to do with them. Can’t remember why I liked them.Still don’t like broccoli.

When I first saw the bulged out cheek, I thought it was a giant nose. And her mouth looked like the nostril.

Broccoli’s not bad if you have cheese on top. Cooked spinach is the worst.

I love broccoli and its funny because my dad used to call them little trees when I was younger and it made me enjoy it more. The vegetable I can’t stomach is mushrooms.

I bought a broccoli dish from Auckland’s Museum cafe once. Was surprised at how good it was, with bacon, leek, and aioli sauce. Made it myself ever since :).

I love broccoli! It only needs a little steam… You get big problems when you over cook it.
