Barbecued meat with a gasoline flavour, mmm mmm good! Remember Brando’s line in Apocalypse Now, “I love the smell of napalm in the morning?”And what a foolish question, “Was he trying to help?” Burl? He was most likely trying to snatch a brat before it burned up.
If there’s anything the Pennys love more than eating food they didn’t have to pay for, it might be attention and pampering from caregivers they don’t need.
Just look at them basking in the glow of bright ambulance lights and hovering paramedics.A dream come true.
But of course they’ll magically recover the minute they’re offered a ride in that shiny white van, however much fun it would be, cos they know they’d have to pay for it.
Mikie — I’m SURE he was trying to snatch several brats, while the neighbor was distracted dealing with the EMT’s.
Not that he was invited to the barbecue….but caring environmentalist that he is, he wouldn’t want to see them burn up or go to waste, would he?
@Finale…. When are you SOL if you get sick (or injured) in Crustwood??From what I’ve seen of medical care in this town, I’d say you’re SOL any time you need it.And finally (not Finale)…while I don’t want to disclose the secret location of the Find-It so early….
I will say that finally finally (but again not Finale) the dunce cap is where it belongs!
@SS: Yesterday El Guapo said “it was nice to see the finials back”I thanked him but then reread it. But since the panel was about short attention spans………
drunk party with a fireplace, and no heat, but a can of gas, and some wood. it wasn’t cold until the idiot lit the fire—blew every pane of glass out of the windows.

Am I imagining it or is Joy in two places at once in this strip? One talking to the others and another standing next to Burl in the ambulance?

So many things wrong here:Gas can next to the BBQ.Ambulance too close to the fire.A knot in the fire hose.

Gasoline. Yeah, that’s the stuff.

I agree; dunce hat is in the right place for once; gas IS too close, but ambulance had to fit in the frame. I did not notice the hose was knotted.
