What’s the big deal? If you don’t have an ID, get one. You have two and a half months, so get on it.

The only voter fraud I know of was the one that put Warcrimes Bush into office in 2000.

It’s a big deal because the people passing these laws also make it difficult to get the needed IDs. Issuing offices are few and far between, often located in places hard to get without a car (and presumably people without a driver’s license can’t drive). They demand documentation that an elderly, poor person might have difficulty getting (do you have a copy of your birth certificate lying around? Most people don’t, and might not know how to get one.) Political scientists estimate that for every illegal vote prevented by these laws, thousands of legitimate voters will be unable to vote. It’s vote suppression, pure and simple.

voting is a right and A RESPONSIBILITY. If a citizen cannot handle the responibility of aquiring I.D. they should not vote. This prevents the crime of voter fraud. Why do so many people support VOTER FRAUD? It is a crime.

By the way…always beware when someone uses “It’s widely known” as part of a silly point. It is also “widely know” that voter fraud is a HUGE PROBLEM in America today. And when did it become widely known that comics don’t even have to be amusing anymore, such as this snide, angry little example here.

As i’ve said before…….. I needed a birth certificate( not a hospital certificate of live birth) or a passport, social security card (not just a number) and two proofs of residence to get a drivers license RENEWED.

My God-What a bunch of crap over a very poor comic strip. It is a Doonesbury wannabe and does not even live up to the substandard that strip begs to.

In states with voter I.D. laws, voter turnout has gone up. Truth team!

If you can’t manage to get an ID before the election I don’t want you to vote because your chances of being well informed are very very low. We already have enough uninformed people voting based on misinformation and scare tactics as it is. If the parties can mobilize vans to shuttle people to the poling places then I bet they can get the same vans to make sure their demographics can get IDs. In this day and age their is no excuse for not having a state issued ID.

just proves that the republicans must be cheating at the polls, only ones that would be thinking that the voters are cheating are the ones that are rigging the elections themselves. they cant have the voters mess up their fixing the elections, now can they.

In states without ID laws Republicans should vote early and vote often. Yea, like that Democrats? “I like Romney so much I voted for him in every poling place in my state. Lets see the list, yea I’m that guy.”

I’d rather we insist people take voting as seriously as renting a movie. If you are THAT weak of a ciitzen, do not vote. You are not worthy.

You need an ID card for things besides voting, so it’s not really discriminatory. If you’re confused about what to do and need help in registering contact your local chapter of the League of Women Voters. Even if you’re a man, they will help you. They want everyone to vote, male or female.Back to my original statement, you have enough time to do what needs to be done if you get to it now. If you would prefer to sit on your hands for the next two and a half months moaning and wailing about how difficult and unfair it is, you may do so with my blessing. Me, I’ve got my ducks in a row and come November 6th, I’ll vote for whomever I think is less of a weenie.
