I think comics are fine. They make me laugh. That is what they are meant to do.

I think Calvin’s mom needs to look into a few more nursing homes for the super serious posters. ;)

Ha,! Back in MY day, cartoonists had to walk eight miles in the snow ( uphill, both ways ) to draw their comics.

.Plager used to be such fun sigh. Pogo trying to roll his eyes back into his head to get the correct Little Orphan Awful look; Or Fearless Fosdick with the cannon hole thru his chest: or Charlie Brown wondering if he was nuts when the sun came up in the shape of Alfie Newman.

I’d never want to go back to the old days. Things are terrific today. We’re not limited to the few strips the local papers decide to carry, we get to choose the ones we like — from over 250 strips just on gocomics alone. There are reruns of old favorites and we get to go back into the archives whenever we want. We get most of them in color daily, not just on Sundays. And we get to enlarge them depending on the options and browser/device your using. I’m loving it. This has to be the golden age of comics, right now.
