    How can he tell? For cryin’ out loud, just look at the honker hanging off of his face. With a nose that big, he can tell if the neighbor three doors down has gas.

    Generally, kids want to know how you heard them raiding the refrigerator, how you knew they didn’t brush their teeth by checking if their toothbrush was wet, how you know they were screaming at the tops of their lungs since you were, like, two whole rooms away. Kids don’t always know that anyone else in the world has the requisite number of senses. I think it’s because they learn to ignore their own under certain circumstances. Like when I’m talkin’ to ’em.
