Aim high and start low, that’s Darin’s motto. It’s not the fall that kills you – it’s the sudden stop !

My grandmother used to say that all the time. Old Irish expression, I guess.I’m headed for the hammock. Talk to you after a few hrs. of shut eye.

Hey, unlike a LOT of dreamers on Ballard Street, at least Darin has his feet firmly planted on the ground.

Which will prove to be, I know, kinda counter to his dream….but you can’t have everything.

I’m going to have to sleep earlier again tonight….

That reminds me…. Bev.. it’s not horrible staying at the salon…

I have a nice little sleeping loft… small but cozy…. and a big kitchen.

Just thinking about a little yurt cos some have those spacious 3 bedroom interiors… not sure yet whether I can swing it, though.

But what does everybody mean about my plant? It’s just a cute little seedling….isn’t it?

Something about it though…. makes me want to treat it more like a pet than a plant…I’m having fun with it….I found it the cutest little baby doll bonnet and toys…it looks sooo sweet.Doesn’t it?I mean…. she??

I’m having a real problem accessing the comments and posting comments, and frankly, almost 4 hours to get through only half my queue is enough! (“Ain’t nobody got time for that!”) I sincerely hope GoComics fixes whatever is wrong quickly! People have been having too many problems with this site alone for the last 2 weeks. I’ve been fortunate (sort of) — it just started this morning.

@Redkaycei RepocHey Red, you know any day is a good day to play Willie Dixon songs. Hoochie Coochie Man is one of my favorites.Comin’ on a grey day , here, as well. Think I’ll mosey over to your place with a jug of my finest and some cold beer and enjoy the blues. Don’t play, but am an appreciative listener.

    X..!! Oh no!

I…. I… never saw anything like that coming!

    She’s only a baby!Can they…. well… can they… you know …. I mean at tat age… it seems impossible.

She has such a baby face… maybe it’s a disguise and she’s older than I think? No, it can’t be….But I can’t take any risks… not with 37 tomato plants…. Now I’ll have to get them all vaccinated.Do I have to find her another home?I can’t bear to harm her…..Hey…. what happened to my meatloaf sandwich….I just set my plate down a moment ago….Wow, that’s strange….

Larry — I dunno…. it has a sort of furrowed look to its brow….and an intense stare in its eyes.I don’t think it’s saying “pick me!”Storm! Please don’t tell my little tomatoes anybody hates them!I try to make sure they believe in a happy world….and endless summer.

That reminds me…. farmer’s market tonight.Bev and Stel…. on tomorrow’s forum you’ll get produce…You too, Storm, if you like … except I guess no tomatoes?Sometimes that’s all I get, though.

    Anybody else?

Quick tip for Darin: Look for footwear with a really soft sole. Or soul, for that matter.
