I kept getting messages to the effect that the site was being updated (only for some comics) – still can’t access “Pluggers”.

Bev — I was going to come check out the Elvis party but I got here really late….I’m sure you’re asleep by now.

El has been hanging around though….in fact I’ve seen him several days in a row on CowTown.

And sure, you can have Storm’s tomatoes, if she doesn’t want them.

I always overestimate how many people want anyway….Nobody eats tomatoes like I do!

There are about 8 pounds in a wire basket in the salon kitchen… help yourself..Just leave some for me and StelBel!

We’re actually a bit short his week, and the ones I got are also a little soft, cos its been over 105º every day in the central valley, where they grow.

Hope you’re getting a little relief from that where you are…. I feel truly lucky to live where I do.

A friend once had a great Dane named Bridgette who liked to ride in the passenger seat of his Toyota with her head sticking out of the sun roof. If he had to make a stop somewhere, like the cleaners, Bridgette would move over to the drivers seat. She used to attract a lot of attention with her paws on the steering wheel and head out the roof.

Call me an old fuddyduddy but I have never allowed my dogs to hang their heads out the window on my vehicles. I also never let them ride in the back of an open pickup truck. The one reason I had a camper shell on all my pickups was to enable my dogs to ride safely. I had special unbreakable screening installed so they got plenty of air and pet water bottles hung so they had plenty of water. I’ve seen too many dogs injured falling out of a pick up. Usually, its a dog, whose yahoo owner allows it to ride in the back, standing on the tool box.Even when my dog is riding in the car, he’s not allowed to stick his head out the window – besides, he’s very happy with the air-conditioner.

Having once owned an Irish Wolf Hound, I defiantly understand. My kids hated to ride with Riley in the back seat. Riley tended to hog the whole seat, if he could get away with it ,and sometimes was a bit flatulent.

NEVER drive your car with your pet in your lap! What do you think will happen to your dog/cat/whatever if your air bag goes off for a front end impact? If you’re lucky, your pet won’t go through your chest and kill you too!
