Man: You shouldn't just be hanging around the house watching Tv, go outside, get some fresh air. Boy: I'll do it when you do it. Man: Touche, son. Turn up the tv, will you?
Assuming the dad works and the son does not, different standards would apply. What if the dad is a landscaper, he gets 40 + hours of fresh air a week. Dad’s done it, now it’s the kid’s turn.
Even if the dad works in an office all day, he should be able to relax in front of the TV, like the kid has been doing all day while his dad was at work.

No slaps in my house, but my father would have given me ‘the look’ and stated “do as I say and not as I do.” And I would have relunctantly obeyed.
