I always get mixed up as to whether Noon and Midnight are AM or PM, so I just say “12 Midnight,” or “12 Noon.”
My alarm says midnight is AM, noon is PM. Haven’t been late yet.
This is one of my pet peeves – there IS no 12:00 am nor pm; it’s noon and midnight. Another pet peeve is someone answering “I’m good,” to the question “How are you?”
That’s why we need the 24 hour clock. At noon would be 12:00 hours and midnight it would be 00:00 hours. The colon is optional.

You’re all wrong! LOL 12:00 am is midnight and 12:00 pm is noon. Plain and simple.
