Reminds me some of James Stewart’s story of the purple cat. He wanted to rid the neighborhood of stray cats that were hanging around. So he grabbed one and painted it puple, thinking that all the other cats would be scared by it. Instead, as he described it, they all said “Hey guys come over here and look at the strange purple cat.” The number of stray cats in the neighborhood went up exponentially.
