Price was right for the moochers living high on food stamps and in abandoned cars, under bridges, and in posh cardboard boxes. They needed a few laughs, too.
Henry Ford paid his workers $5 a day in 1914, which was big bucks at the time, so that they could afford to buy his cars. (I may have the dollars and date wrong, but the essence is correct)
You never knew what a great service you were doing in creating this upgrade to their lavish surroundings.By the way, never saw or heard of the Excentric, but bet it was great fun.Have enjoyed seeing your posts here and elsewhere.Where was it published?
Forgot to mention, that if you’ve been out of work for long enough, maybe you’d like to look into welfare (what little is left of it after Clinton, and yet another Evil Government provision). And look into locations of abandoned cars, nearby bridges, and lavish cardboard digs.
Thanks much for this post.Wow. Sedona. Have heard many mentions of the highly spiritual nature of the place, and sweat lodges there.Have never been west of Iowa by land, and don’t do much traveling, but if ever there is a place to see, would love to see Sedona.Have seen pictures of it, and it’s beautiful there.
Thanks much for this-guess you had seen the trouble my jokes had gotten me into.Have to plead guilty as charged. My cup of Salada tea may not be someone else’s cup of Lipton’s tea.Gotta watch my mouth (typed).Actually, have sworn off tea since tea became associated with extreme political views. Unpleasant association, and no tea as a protest. Not going there anymore (trolling).Lesson learned.
thank you…….Meet the Press Panelists…….meanwhile…back at the comic…….no one will be able to pay me what i am worth…because my mommy said i am worth a million dollars !!!!!!!!!!
Your mother’s view was biased. We here act as advisors to Meet The Press. We make the posts, they steal our content. And we don’t get paid for it.How wrong is this?
That’s why your posts are appreciated by myself and others. Thanks once again for your posts. Love your view on the matter of real anger erupting in the comments sections. Sardonic humor is often mistaken for attack.Such humor tries to approach things that really need fixing for the purpose of viewing us all as creatures with the right to be viewed with a little dignity, even those who have been dealt a lousy hand.Such posts as mine to Shoe above are really borderline, because there is a great deal in it really meant to be critical of unfairness in this country.Don’t mean to start trouble, but only to appeal to fairness.Don’t begrudge anybody a huge fortune , if that’s their thing, but they are in the position of truly making the world a better place, and they ought to do it.Strongly believe that “to whom much is given”. (by God), much is expected , and that there is no greater disgrace than to die rich with so much need in the world.Would rather die penniless. Thanks so much for your approach-have never seen an attack post by you, and just know the Excentric was a fun place.
Think you would like this-Not original to me, but had seen a poster invoke Rule 20 for the internet in another strip.Rule 20 states; “Nothing is to be taken seriously”.Actually-exceptions to every rule-sardonic humor is often to be taken as humor with an edge and is why my posts often are borderline. Have a good day.
You are lucky you have a job in this economy. You are lazyand unproductive. I fire you in a minute. And stop stuffing your face and get to a gym you born loser.
To all you people whining about ORGANIC oil, either shut up or go live in a cave. Get off oil if you don’t like it. Oh, sorry, you won’t put your money where your mouth is. Never mind…..
Left a really bad waitress a tip of two cents once, and when she complained, informed her it was twice what she was worth. Maybe Congress should key their salaries to the minimum wage, but so should stockholders and boards set the CEO salaries the same.
Sorry, pal, you’ll never get that lucky as long as the good Lord gives me breath! Will continue to rail against stupidity and greed as long as am permitted to, without some comments being deleted,as happened at Shoe here today!Guess they don’t like critical posts against reeps!
Did you know that when the pay raise for congress comes up for vote— yea or nay— if they DON’T VOTE it goes into effect anyway. Saves face when they are challenged about it

My employer used to say “We’d like to pay you what you’re worth, but there’s a minimum wage law in this state.”

Years ago I used to write for a humor paper called The Excentric. Our banner read: " Free and Worth Every Penny of It !"

I once worked with a Irish kid from the bad side of the
tracks of Philadelphia. He was a philosopher of sorts
and would come up with a zinger from time to time..
We had hired a lady who didn’t have any common sense
at all, but, was making good money at her hourly rate.
My friend commented on that and said.."Whatever they’re
paying her it’s about four or five dollars an hour too much."
I laughed all day after he said that..
