I’ve heard that Richard Thompson is retiring because of a disease. When is that going to happen?

I think I’ve had the same dreams, Dill. I always seemed to be falling off a cliff or something.

Good luck Richard! I really hope you beat it. Your cartoons have been in the top 5%…….consistently.

Last time I rode my kiddie car (about 57 years ago) the neighbors dog almost killed me.

I just hope that when they start the reruns, we’re not bombarded with folks who complian “this strip ran in October 1998”.

Well, it’s been a good run these 5 years I have been reading this strip. I was going to leave it starting Monday, like what television does with its daily programs in the fall (always starting on a Monday). But since the ending date for this comic will be Sunday, Sept 23, I’ll going stay with this comic until its true sign-off date. I already have a replacement for CDS called Freshly Squeezed which is second in linefollowing CDS and just before Gasoline Alley in my Go Comics line-up. When CDS departs on 9/23/12, it be first in my lineup. Thank you so much for five years of family fun, Richard.
