I'm thinking of a mom, a grandma, a wife, a career woman and a friend- To hear all who knew you say, you did it right, when you're time here's added to and- Today would've been another birthday- for one whose life would tell- you are blessed by blessing others- One of my heroes- Miss Kitty Wells

What I wouldn’t give to write Fritzi’s weepy farewell to some gangster rapper and include some lyrics for her to tear up over that include the bad word choices that are so often part of that kind of music. I can’t read one of these salutes to a singer dailies without thinking of the potential parody.

Thanks for remembering. It’s been some weeks since we lost her but we fired up one of my favorites the other day “Amigo’s Guitar”.

Kitty Wells was 100% beloved and respected as not only the original Queen Of Country Music, being the first female singer to have a Number 1 in the early 50s…..but had a loving life well lived. As a Nashvillan, I can tell you…her influence was huge. Thanks for reading, everyone.
