I took an intro to psychology class my first year at university. A couple of weeks into the semester, after he had gotten to know a little bit about us, the professor selected three of the members of the class and asked them to wait outside the room for a demonstration to come. Once we were out there, he called us back in one at a time and showed us each the same Rorschach blot and asked us to tell the class what we saw. The first of us said “It’s a bat… or a leaf.” The second said, “It’s a bridge.” The third said it’s a pair of angels hovering on opposite sides of a fountain and pouring water from a pair of vases into the pool below."
Then the professor pointed to each of us “test subjects” and identified us in turn as an English lit major, an elementary ed major, and an engineering major… and asked the students to write down on paper which was which.
I doubt it will surprise anyone that every single member of the class pegged all three of us correctly.
