    My browser text has gotten bigger/smaller with tapping (on the mouse pad scroll bar) since firefox 3.x – long before iPhone and iPad.

    With a few exceptions (e.g. RSA) software patents are bogus.

    They have the pattern: “Do X, which we’ve done for centuries, but on a Y!”

    E.g. (real patents):

    Play Bingo, but on a Computer!!

    Play Bingo on a Computer, but over the Internet!!

    Play Bingo over the Internet, but on a tablet!!

    Note that RSA (public key encryption) was something that had never been done before, with or without a computer.

    I’m happy that at almost 75, I can still read average text in books without glasses in good daylight. I love to read in the garden anytime the weather is nice. The rest of the time, I watch TV.
