Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Does anyone else remember the movie âMax Headroomâ with Blipverts? Those advertisements which were crammed with too much data and caused people to explode. I think it was in the â80âs, but it seemed so imminent and plausable even then.
When the commercials reach equal time to the programming, I will cancel my cable subscription and subsist on DVDs and books⊠much as I do now. I give the TV networks to reach that level within the next 3-4 years at their current rate.
In the future, people will be born without arms and legs, and have small âpouchesâ on their bodies just the right size for cell phones, iPods, et cetera.
I donât know whatâs worse, the thought that future television shows will be limited to 140 characters, or the fact that thatâs 136 characters more than you need to summarize the plots of most TV shows today.

If the curee had said, âbig jerkâ instead of âcurmudgeonlyâ it wouldâve made it. âAnd now a word from our sponsorâŠliterally.â

Hey Ray, Great way to put it.
Rakkav about 15 years ago
In other words, tsandl, most TV showsâ plots can be summarized by four-letter words?
Iâll go along with that. In fact, in some cases I could reduce the letter count to three.
