Meanwhile, no adult will be under 140 pounds, or anywhere close to that figure.

    Thankfully, I’m a verbal-to-the-point-of-ridiculousness, book-addicted, compulsive-writing, ENFP!

You’ll never take me alive, Twitter! BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!! :))

I sometimes struggle to finish reading a daily strip - I guess that those future kind of programs would make sense to me now

Counting all the spaces as characters, I come up with 145 characters–this show would never make it!

If the curee had said, “big jerk” instead of “curmudgeonly” it would’ve made it. “And now a word from our sponsor…literally.”

Does anyone else remember the movie “Max Headroom” with Blipverts? Those advertisements which were crammed with too much data and caused people to explode. I think it was in the ‘80’s, but it seemed so imminent and plausable even then.

When the commercials reach equal time to the programming, I will cancel my cable subscription and subsist on DVDs and books… much as I do now. I give the TV networks to reach that level within the next 3-4 years at their current rate.

He’s been around. He was Moloch in Watchmen, he was on Eureka, and he was just in the SyFy Channel’s Alice. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001242/

I bet future commercials won’t be limited to 140 characters.

In the future, people will be born without arms and legs, and have small “pouches” on their bodies just the right size for cell phones, iPods, et cetera.

I don’t know what’s worse, the thought that future television shows will be limited to 140 characters, or the fact that that’s 136 characters more than you need to summarize the plots of most TV shows today.

In other words, tsandl, most TV shows’ plots can be summarized by four-letter words?

I’ll go along with that. In fact, in some cases I could reduce the letter count to three.
