Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
too late to patent it, Asimov already wrote a story about it, about 50 yrs ago. didnât use the name iThink, of course, but the idea was to condense all education into a single fill directly to the brain.
C.J. Cherryh has used the concept of training downloads extensively in many of her stories.
When was the last time you had an original thought, & are you sure it isnât something you heard or read somewhere?
(Not an original question, I think I got it from the Planet of the Apes novel, from which the movies were âborrowed.â The ape scientists were arguing about apparently intelligent behavior in humans. Most thought they were just well trained.)
I have a theory about how to actually make one of those types of devices, the problem is getting the information into the conscious memoryâŠ.I think I have a solution for that now as well.
sidl, Tim Rickard does read these comments. Iâm sure heâd be as interested as I am in any constructive opinion as to what would âmake this comic greatâ.
It would be interesting. Instantly as knowledgeable as the greatest theoreticians after a lifetime of work and being able to speak to thousands who understood what you were talking about.

It all makes sense. Love the scaled-up iPods. Dr. M. Practice is probably infringing on a âlook and feelâ patent or copyright from Apple, though.
The_Floodhunter about 15 years ago
That whole iPod learning thing remind me of the MatrixâŠ(No, Iâm not accusing Rickard of a rip-off; I believe a lot in coincidence).
Then everyone else will probably need to take lessons on watching Brewster. I.e. can we trust him to know how to freeze meat?
Digital Frog about 15 years ago
In panel 2, the goal is the same, only the choice of what is being toasted differsâŠ
Varnes about 15 years ago
I thought his brain was already toastâŠ

Boiling water? How common! I prefer my water baked.

The sad part is that some people really do âdownload booksâ instead of reading the real thing. In some ways, it is alrdy d wrst f tmes.
Nairebis about 15 years ago
Boiling water doesnât produce a yummy treat at the end. Clearly useless knowledge to Brewster.
Dutchboy1 about 15 years ago
On Brewsterâs I-Pod, right under âMAKING TOASTâ it should also have âDOWNLOAD ABORTED - STORAGE CAPACITY EXCEEDEDâ.

Seminars would be real meetings of minds.
