Working Daze by John Zakour and Scott Roberts for August 29, 2012

I really like this storyline maybe because I just started watching the Original Star Trek I don’t know but I know I like it.

There was a guy named Fred, who was annoyingly optimistic. Whenever he got bad news, his comment was always the same: “It could have been worse”. His golfing buddies tried to get him by working up a story so bad not even Fred could think that.

On their next golf date, one of them spoke up and said, “You know, it’s really too bad about Harry and Sam.” Going on with the joke, another said, “Why, what happened?”

“Well, Harry was on a business trip and when he came home a day early, he caught Sam with his wife. He shot the two of them and then killed himself.”

Fred, who had been listening to this with little apparent interest, teed up his ball and said, “Still, it could have been worse,” and took his swing.

The others stared at Fred in amazement. “Just how could it have been worse?”

“Well, if Harry had come home two days early, I’d be dead instead of Sam.”

Plus we do address the Borg in ST the first Generation question. :)
