On April 14, 2012, a man in Des Plaines, Ill., USA was killed when a swan attacked him, knocking him out of his kayak and preventing him from swimming to shore! Good odds! The United States' Federal Bureau of Investigation has captured 466 of the 497 fugitives that have appeared on their top 10 most wanted list since it began in 1950! Among Malaysia's Tidong community- newly married couples attempt to abstain from using the bathroom for three days and nights after their wedding!

No problem for swan, humans aren’t on the endangered species list

I can’t imagine any married couple would be successful in their attempt to not use the bathroom for those 3 days. There must be a lot of pooping and peeing in pants there—I would have to abstain from that tradition!

Swans are one mean animal. They will attack for no reason if they decide they don’t want you arojnd.

He was ‘up the creek without a paddle’ when he sang his swan song.

Would someone please explain to me why the Tidong community came up with this custom? And are they allowed to pass gas?
goweeder about 12 years ago
The Tidong community came up with this weird custom — for what purpose?.Most probably these people are human beings. Human beings are supposed to be somewhat intelligent. Obviously, that is just a surmise. So, that does it — I hereby resign from the human race~!

Geese are very mean; swans are much worse.!

Canadian Geese have invaded our area. If you approach them, they just waddle away, usually into water and swim away. They do get defensive when nesting, though!

Probably some drunk best man dared the groom….
OK now it makes perfect sense. Thank you for your explanation.

The swan was in a pond near a condominium complex. It was put there to keep geese away. He was checking on it when he capsized and drowned. Apparently he was trapped in his capsized kayak. Not nearly as interesting as “Ripley’s” makes it sound.
