You’re ticking off the librarian, you two!

Really getting into your book.

The title should be “The Jabberwock” or “Jabberwocky” (the name of the nonsense poem about the Jabberwock).

Wasn’t Jabberwocky a movie made by the Monty Python crew?

I always thought “Frumious Bandersnatch” would have been a great name for a rock band.

I remember that movie. Much of the music was from Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

Wow! Lio really gets into his books! The librarian should be encouraging, not shushing him. (Compare Jacob Two-Two and The Bookworm Brouhaha, season 3 episode 11, in which Jacob becomes a Library Ninja to track down the insidious Bookworm.)

Lio should come to the library I frequent; the librarians don’t shush the visitors anymore, but it’s still pretty quiet.

Librarian seems a little snarky today.

Say what you will about the Gilliam “Jabberwocky” (hey, it was one of his first films), I liked it better than Tim Burton’s “Alice.”

You forgot this is a library.

In reply to yesterday’s question;hell yes.In Oregon every county around Portland has approved funds for millions of dollars in library upgrades or rebuilds. In my county they just opened a brand new one paid for by us tax payers (the only levy I voted yes for). Multnomah county in Portland has one of the best library systems in the nation. Totally digital options along with dead trees. I just went there 20 minutes ago. Had to return Completely Mad, Don Martins 2 volume set. It wouldn’t be the same on a computer and I have an 8-disc set of every MAD published up to 2000. Gimme a book any day over digital.

I loved the librarians when I was young, but I was also afraid of them. They always had great suggestions on what to read, but for the most part, they seemed stern and serious to me.
