“Esharkos”… LOL!! Someone asked my husband for a “forko” once, and we still laugh about it.Meanwhile, for some reason, his Spanish friends think we have a lot of words in English that end in “-ation” so that’s how they make up English words.
Ooo, I didn’t know about some of those. I do know pupputh (sp?) is food, and my dad used to say something that sounded like “dame e who bich coo”. That’s how he pronounced it anyway. Supposed to be “kiss me, pretty girl”?Polka, hehe. Then again, it seems like many countries have their versions of polka.
I had some friends who taught English in Prague for a year, and when we went to visit we learned pretty much one word…“pivo.” It means beer and they drink a LOT of it!
