The Professor: Evelyn...you've been sitting in that chair for hours. Evelyn: I'm waiting for my feral cat to come back. I'm certain she hates me for having her spayed. The Professor: Nonsense! Perhaps a bit of cat food might lure her back. Evelyn: I made her some braised chicken livers with rosemary and garlic... The Professor: Meow. Evelyn: Go ahead. Enjoy it.

When my cat was spayed, she holed up in the closet and wouldn’t eat. After a couple of days, I started hand feeding her tuna so she wouldn’t get too weak. Interestingly, she didn’t get picky, and went back to eating her regular food.

Mine never seemed to notice. Brought her home, let her out, there she was.

Had both male and female cats over the years, the females didn’t really care, the males freaked out. Incidentally, garlic and onion are poisonous to cats, or so my vet tells me.

Can’t say any of my cats have freaked out on being standardized. All have had the experience as adults.
Does that mean my cats are as eccentric as I am? lol!

My cats were spayed when they were kittens. They hid under the couch for a few hours, but have seemed to gotten over it.

The cartoon scene I remember most about the subject; two dogs chatting; one says “They found me, they took me home and loved me and fed me and petted me and I loved them back and we were one happy family. Then they cut my nuts off !!”
