Woman: Boone... why does Dusty keep this old heap? It's sitting on cinder blocks! He can't even drive it! Boone: Well, Verna... it's not so much a car as it is a symbol of a little bit of freedom. He gets a great pleasure out of starting the engine, turning on the radio and, if it's a nice day, putting the top down. He even takes his pals on imaginary road trips back to their youth.
