Rerun? Aw, i was thinking he’d be keeping up those mortgage payments after all..On another note…anyone have any idea why Elizabeth Warren got the convention gig? I thought they always hired a rising star to deliver the keynote address. Warren’s star is still on the launch pad, and that Senate race is very iffy.

My bad. Keynote speaker was Julian Castro. Elizabeth Warren was just the most heavily-hyped. Maybe I read too much Doonesbury.

Of course GT deserves a break every now and then. It just doesn’t stop people from missing him. What I think is bad is that Colbert and Stewart are off so much. It seems like they could get subs on occasion. It is different when you write a comic strip though. I am sure it would cost some $ to get the subs but who wants to watch reruns? The viewership must go down when they aren’t there, so that is not good for ratings, which isn’t good for their bottom line either.

Yawn. Afraid it’s not worth reading the strip at all this week. I always read Doonesbury reruns but this guy is painfully boring. Sure hope GT is finding a new audience with him ‘cos he’s losing me!

Gary could turn this rerun into a really great story line by connecting it to the present. He could have Random House offer Jeff a second book contract. That would REALLY gall his dad.

Same here.. It was a bigger concern than the economy, keeping the Affordable Care Act.. Oh wait Mitt said he was going to keep parts of that as well.. After months of telling any one that would listen he was going to get rid of it..

Why don’t you just put umuruku on your coin. You don’t have to have stuff like trusting in anybody. After-all, who does trust these days. Our coins have the date and country on them. They don’t need anything else for the vending machines that they get put into.

I’ve got to call you on that, Susan. Charles Schultz did not take breaks, he kept working right up to the day he died. His last Sunday strip appeared over a month after his death. That’s the only reason we’re getting reruns now — a pretty good reason!

Schultz took a 5 week vacay in 1997. He did have quite a record of no vacations. I’m not sure many of us would want to live like that even if you are passionate about your career.
