It’s a crying shame that Barney has ruined the great folk song “This Old Man” for succeeding generations. But that’s what sometimes happens with popular tunes. There’s the old joke that the definition of an intellectual is someone who can listen to the “William Tell Overture” without thinking of the “Long Ranger!”
OldestandWisest: A cigarette company was using the Gallop in their commercials. Stan Freberg parodied it with a smoker complaining plagiarism, only to have Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels intervene. I wanted a guy with a crossbow and a kid eating an apple on a quarrel to challenge them.
