Here in Phoenix we use “misters” that spray water from little nozzle up around eaves (of patios, shopping malls and restaurants). Some ladies object (even though I find them delightful and cooling) because the moisture does mess with hair if it’s loaded with hair spray.
Today’s comic on Creators is not so realistic. Birds hate to be covered up directly on their bodies My baby liked her cage covered (and to be inside it) to sleep, but would only permit a hat loosely on her head just long enough for a photo and NEVER so much as a bit of holiday garland over her body.
Reminded of a Don Martin cartoon in which a city pedestrian feels a drop, then another, then more, then delightedly launches into “Singin’ in the Rain”. Turn the page, and atop the adjacent building a spitting contest is underway.

“Hey there… What’s up?”…. “Nothing Much!” (accompanied by spritzing)…“Well, I wanted the news, not the weather!”….

I know those types as well, Susan. It was “spritzing” here yesterday – I enjoyed the feeling on my face as I walked back from the mailbox.
