Ruthie seems to have a healthier attitude toward her family’s financial circumstances than snobby little Cylene. I have to wonder why a ‘moneyed’ family like Cylene’s would send their child to a public school when they clearly look down on others. (Children repeat what they hear at home and mirror attitudes they see. Cylene probably learned her snobbery from her parents.)-Meanwhile, in today’s comic on creators.com, someone should teach Grandpa how to ‘blog’ so he can record his comments about his doctor in a way that might help him. Unless his doctor decides to sue!
It just occurred to me that I have not bought ice cream from a truck since my kids were little (does it really cost a buck now?)
and I agree with comicsfan that Cylene’s folks may be just living on credit (so many do who put on big aires). James’ family on the other hand are definitely hand to mouth – mostly his.
