Transcript:
Ollie: A balloon?...As a rain coat? Are you sure?
Quentin: It's perfect!...It's watertight, skintight, and er...oh dear..
Ollie: What?
Quentin: ....Airtight!
I guess my mind went elsewhere with the description and I imagine others as well did is why it was called “risque.” I love it for how it is drawn…hilarious. Keep up the great work Piers.
Yes, this strip has a risque` ending, yes it can be a bit over the top for the regular papers, but especially yes to printing it. There was a Baby Blues comic a couple years ago where Wanda was breast feeding and Daddyl asked for some cream for his coffe. The next to the last panel had a stream of liquid aecing in from the left right into the cup. The last panel had Darryl saying “Nice aim Hun.” The papers refused to run it. No guts, no glory. BTW, is Quentin making a guest appearance in today’s (9-27-12) Savage Chickens?

So glad some of my ‘riskier’ comics are getting a laugh. This one only just made it into newspapers. Hidden away on a saturday I think.

That’s the sad part about the print syndication side of things. The incredible scrutiny. Great strip, Piers.
