Scott McMurray of Vienna, VA., USA, received a postcard from his mother in April 2012- 55 years after she put it into the mail! Easter Island was settled around the year 800, but by the time Dutch explorers visited in the 18th century, the island had lost all its trees, topsoil and birds, and some inhabitants had become cannibals! Florence, a nurse shark at the Birmingham (England) National Sea Life Center, prefers to eat only vegetables- forcing handlers to sneak meet that she needs to survive inside of cucumbers! Yum!

A vegetarian shark? I don’t believe it.

We once had a cat who would only eat vegetables from the garden; even though his brother brought mice to him. The cat perished.

The old delivered postcard is nothing compared to my story. Which Ripley ignored. I am a stamp collector, in Ontario Canada, I buy boxes and collections of stamps. So finally I went through one box of USA postcards and I found this specific card that was posted from Waterloo Iowa, about 60 years ago. It was written by my now mother-in-law to to her mother.

Re: Easter Is.: See how wonderful progress is? I’m sure with today’s implements we could do that in 20 yrs.

I knew a woman who’s terrier would dance, beg, and do other tricks for veggies, especially onion!

If the nurse shark finds out what the handlers have been doing, they’ll be in a pickle!

Somewhere along the line, the Easter Islanders became obsessed with building bigger and bigger statues – to the detriment of their other resources.

Why didn’t they learn to fish to survive?

American’s are allowing those in power to take this country down the same path as Easter Island and the Roman Empire. Just keep laughing, delving into sports and drink your beer, everything will be just fine.

As an English teacher, I’m trying to figure out why anyone would try to get a shark to survive inside of cucumbers.

By what measure is Obama a conservative? What president was ever further left?
