And a curl that reaches maybe 50 miles NE of Ashtabula.

Trout is a girl? I shocked. All this time I thought Trout was a boy.

It’s Erie. ( No, not eerie.I mean Erie, Pennsylvania.)

So true in so many ways. One of the things that one wonders about from time to time is how much our teachers’ conceptions of us have helped shape our own self images.

Hadn’t noticed it before; but Agnes’ hair from the side does look sort of like Ohio.

Its amazing how pieces that seem odd will find a spot to fit. .Wasn`t it Eerie Indiana? (watch out for the EverFresh cult!)

Sigh….I meant that if it’s Ohio, her little curly forelock would stretch from Ashtabula, OH, to Erie, PA…

As a matter of fact it follows the border of Lake Erie.

It’s fairly close; her right ear would be in the approximate location of Athens, site of the Ohio University. And Happy New Year to you; have a good Feast of Trumpets.

The Northern edge is the shore of Lake Erie; Ashtabula is in the Northeast corner.

The lake shore sweeps up to the Northeast at the Pennsylvania border.

If you follow it, you get to Erie about 50 miles after you leave Ashtabula….right about where Agnes’ little curl makes a right turn inland.Hair geography is a new field for me.Seems promising.

It is. It never occurred to me until I read this strip, but it really does look like an outline of Ohio.
