(I take this to mean that they support the Democrats in votes …).
Actually, it means they have a preference for the Democratic policies, but they will (if they are true Independents) vote their consciences. - If, that is, a politician can be proven to have a conscience (no mean feat IMHO)
The reason that corruption gets shoved under the rug is akin to the old MAD nuclear option from the cold war. If either party press to hard their corruption will come out. There are only 435 corrupt members of Congress and 100 corrupt members of the Senate, the rest are clean as the driven snow.
Right/left both sides of the same coin. Their masters(huge multinational corporations get what they want(with a small flavor change) and make up problems for the single issue voters(most of them) to fight over which will never be solved to satisfaction. Vote – be a sheep, or vote for the person who is not in a major party. He won’t win, but maybe, just maybe, you can send a message.
Tea Party notions, which are the real agenda of Twit and Co., sounds much better than “a mob of racists and homophobes”.You were in Iraq.Sounds like PTSD to me.Your allegiance is misplaced, and you’ve been manipulated.Suggest a long exposure to MSNBC as the corrective measure needed. You’ve been hearing too many crazy voices.Turn off Fox News and reep pundits.
The Supreme Corp. has given us Citizens United, and potential sale of the U.S. government to the highest bidder.Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer cited this in stating that William A. Clarke,(1839-1925) a business tycoon from Montana , tried this also, with some notable success. He died 1 of the 50 richest people(?) in the country. He also spit upon those he corrupted-“Never bought a man who wasn’t for sale”.He was right on, there.
Can you really say any politician is ‘clean’.. they all seem crooked in some way to me.. taking money on the table from companies, being perverts or having affairs… most ‘snow’ is dirty.
Of course, if they do nothing, as the current Congress seems intent on, then they can’t be blamed for anything. With their approval ratings hovering around 10%, do we really need them?
Bernie Sanders-An (undeclared) Socialist.Everybody in power’s deathly afraid of them. They tell it like it REALLY is.Also support wildly unpopular views like we ought feed, clothe, and heal the poor, as did a certain Nazarene.Ayn Rand devotees hate this notion.Twit and Co. are in trouble right now for having had their true Randian , atheistic agenda exposed, via the secret videos released.
Meant no disrespect toward vets. Have the greatest respect for all who have survived the hell of war. Have never been so tested myself. Also struck by having read the reminiscences of WW2 combat vets, who stated that they had never before, and had never since felt the same closeness to other human beings as they had experienced while in combat, because they were all in the same boat, struggling to stay alive TOGETHER..We are all in this life together, and don’t let the extremists divide and conquer us.United we stand, divided we fall.
You and all who have ever been in uniform have been told that part of the reason for your service was to protect the right to vote.2012-reeps all over the map, also opposed to Obama, seek to rig the vote through voter suppression laws. Are you sure you wish to support those “patriots” who, if they can’t win a fair election, feel the need to cheat, and rig the election?
Thank you so much, my great friend, for that!So very true! And from one who has been there, and risked your life to preserve freedom for all. You have my deepest respect, honestly.
Thanks for your posts, my dear friend. Do so admire your allegiance to your beliefs, but please read of the Nazarene. He was above all of our partisanship, for the good of ALL!

Actually his longevity is probably due to irrational constituents who say Congress is terrible, but Their incumbent is okay.
