@TEH: Last year I was on the main street of Ft. Lauderdale and saw a tree with the most beautiful purple flowers (I think the tree was called Jacamel?). I loved the color so much that if I ever repaint my apartment, I will want one room to be the colorof those flowers.
@TEH: I was born with blond hair and so were many of my relatives. My mother’s family came from Galicia (south-east Poland) and during the hundreds of years that Jews lived in Poland some Polish genes crept in.

Apparently, the censor isn’t working. I assume andrelguera knows idioms well, but I think David’s translation is literally correct and andre includes it as one possible translation. I also agree with JanCinLV; I’m one of those “older folk” who thinks it’s too bad that word has become so over-used. Young people need to improve their vocabularies.“carajos” – apparently reference to body parts and functions is common in all languages. In the book “Congo” by Michael Crichton, the ape who had been taught a number of words using sign language, when angry said “go to the bathroom on yourself”. She had never been taught that combination of words. It just comes naturally.
@andrelguera, I also appreciate your help with translations. Did you catch the August 18 strip. Paige to Jason: What are you ordering? Jason: “Chicken jerk” [sounding like he is ordering chicken and calling Paige a jerk or bum, bobo]. Jason then adds: I mean “jerk chicken” [a kind of barbecue]. In the spanish version, both terms were translated “la pizza boba”. This totally misses the joke. How would you translate this?
