Back in the 1940s before there was any reliable way to tell the sex of an unborn baby, my Dad knew a doctor who kept a notebook, and whatever he told the parents the baby would be, he wrote down in his notebook the OPPOSITE.
Well, if what he told the parents turned out to be correct, nobody questioned his skill. But if it wasn’t correct and the parents mentioned this to him, he’d look it up in his notebook and show them where he had written it down and tell the parents that they must be mistaken because he wrote it down right here in the notebook at the same time he told the parents.
Actually, Flo’s better off doing it herself. At least it will be done right and done quickly. I can’t imagine the havoc Andy could cause with a wrench….
Number Six and I were convinced Miles would be a girl. Linda Dean was too. When you next pay a visit, could you check you weren’t looking at the umbilical cord?
Flo should keep him prisoner in that house! I often wonder why Flo looks so hopeful when Andy says ‘No problem, pet’ she knows full well that he is a bone idle waste of space who can’t control his drinking.
Congratulations! Miles is a great name. He’s certainly going to get all the love he can handle – I can tell. Son and DIL sound like great people and great parents. And with great grandparents, Miles is very lucky.
Congratulations, beviek. I still think “Thatababy” has a nice ring to it, though. Of course the kid in that comic is just a TAD bit…..er……….“different.”
@BevCongrats to you and Miles’ parents. See if you can save some of these comments to to show them – and even show to Miles when he’s old enough. Maybe Eldo can assist you in that regard.♥
Mondacious Monday Hugs ((((((( Cappers! )))))))Bev, I am just so tickled for you and your family and honored to be a virtual God Parent! How did you stand it while you were waiting? Talked to my dil yesterday and she said she was ready NOW! And I am sure she meant it too..lol.. My son was rather large at birth and I hope she doesnt have to go through what I did…he weighed 11 lbs 12.5 oz’s and was 23 inches long. His dad was 6’7" so I expected him to be large but my goodness! He is only 6’6" so maybe Judy will have an easier time of it. I sure hope so anyway. Take care of that little bundle and post a pic if you can.
When Miles gets old enough, not only will I show him how to grow a proper mustache and beard but how to turn that ‘’tash into a luxurious handle-bar like Linguist’s, his adoptive godfather.
