"I should take a cue from our forefathers. If I don't like the way things are run, I should declare my own independence." "I could make a new country completely devoid of corporate control. We'd finally have a government that is truly for the people and by the people." "How 'bout it, Cow? You wanna be one of the first citizens of 'The United Provinces of Billytopia'?" It’s unjust that nearly everyone lumps together a businessman who lobbies in self-defense against the regulators and legislators with the sleazes who run to government for hand-outs, favors, and a chance to kill off the competition. The first is an honest victim of a corrupt system; the second type is an eager accomplice of the system. For more on the difference, read Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”.
