    When I was a kid, paste was made from flour. You could see it being made in the school cafeteria. Half would go into art supply jars, and half into mashed potatoes and gravy.

    we had a kid in our class who ate paste. later we found out she was hungry – coming to class without breakfast

    When I was in 1st grade the teacher made paste from flour and water; so, yes – a lot of kids ate it!

    Never ate paste but used to coat back of hand with Elmer’s Glue and let it dry, peel it off in front of the girls and claim it was leprosy.
