Well, on the plus side, the extension cord was cut up by the mower.

I have an old electric lawn mower with a cord. Its not as bad as depicted. But I have to watch for the location of the extension cord. I seem to cut the extension cord about every year. On the positive side, the mower is very low maintenance, no gas or oil, etc.

I use one; have since I was a kid. When I started the neighbor’s kids on my lawn, that was a selling point: it’s lightweight, for my hilly yard, and the younger kid got $5 for “cord-tending”.

My great-aunt had one to use on her row house lawn. The fun part was carrying it through from the living room, down he steps, and then out to mow the back yard.

we have a hedge trimmer with cord. I’m sure it was invented by the makers of extension cords. they must be losing millions since the battery guys snuck in.

That would make far too much sense to use!

I have a cordless electric mower and I love it. No stink, no gas, no oil and quiet enough that I can listen to music at well under 1/2 volume while I’m working.

I used a series of electric mowers for many years. Last year, I went back to gas because of poorly designed power switches on my last electric.
