We have a pigeon (for some reason my wife has called him Harold) that uses the bird bath we have in the garden quite regularly. On warmer days, when all the water has evaporated, it sits in the not empty bath, staring at the kitchen window as if to say “well come on then, top it up”

If they want their water fresh, the birds that visit my birdbaths have to be quicker than the chipmunks, squirrels, deer, and raccoons.
